Printed in lower centre: CORRIDOR OF A FARMHOUSE AT PYLA

Description:

This is a most romantic representation of a corridor at a farmhouse in the village of Pyla. It emanates a sense of peace and tranquillity which must have been captured by the figure, most probably a British person, sitting on a chair and reading his book. The arches are reminiscent of Gothic architecture, the wooden gargoyle reminiscent of those stone designs found in the church of St. George of the Latins in Famagusta. The matted roof is covered by climbing ivy and the artist has captured well the shadows created by the structure
