Description:

This beautifully balanced watercolour of a dirt road winding through the mountains is strongly reminiscent of the many roads through the Troodos which has been a popular subject for the many artists who have visited the island over the centuries. The evening sun casts long shadows and illuminates the two giant black pines standing to the left of the road. The sky fades from a hazy blue to the pinks and yellows of evening. While the dedication below the painting is dated 1968, it is unclear when this painting was made as Joseph Posluschny was active between 1920 and 1950
