This watercolour depicts part of the northern coastline of Cyprus with the Kyrenia mountain range fading in the background. The artist has captured the wonderful vegetation in exquisite colours combining them with the blue sea. The vista projected from the standpoint of the artist creates a mysterious atmosphere, and projects an almost fairy tale hamlet, sunk in lush surroundings crowned by buildings in full shadow, like a mysterious castle
