Description:
This is a view of the highly celebrated spot of Petra tou Romiou, associated with legends pertaining to the Greek Goddess Aphrodite and the Byzantine warrior Dighenis. One legend has it that Aphrodite came to Cyprus from this bay while another attributes the rock to the Byzantine border warrior of the Akrites who threw it from the Kyrenia mountains against the Saracen fleet. Special attention is given to the blue sea which is here depicted in a mirror like state of serenity
