Description:
Tristram Ellis’ inspiration was triggered by a beautiful ravine in the mountains of Cyprus. The watercolour can almost be seen as a study of the flora of the area. Poplar trees, olive trees, pines and oaks grow next to each other surrounded by rocky mountains. The water colour is a rhapsody of greens. The scene is probably in Paphos, above Kato Pyrgos village
