The educational programme “One Hat, a Thousand Stories” invites children to discover how a simple item of clothing can carry stories from the past. Through a guided tour of the CVAR Museum collection, children observe portraits and figures wearing the fez and learn about the periods during which it was worn, who wore it, and what it symbolised.
The fez becomes a starting point for discussion about daily life, identity, and the customs of people in Cyprus and the wider region. The programme concludes with a creative activity in which children design or construct their own fez, combining observation, imagination, and play in an engaging museum environment.
