Dr Swati Joshi and Holly Kunst from The Centre of Visual Arts and Research (CVAR) would like to welcome you to the ‘Beckett and Cyprus’ online roundtable, the first of the Mediterranean Beckett Studies Roundtable series.
The ‘Beckett and Cyprus’ roundtable aims to focus on three main themes, including the significance of Beckett’s works in regard to Cyprus’s cultural and geopolitical context, the legacy of Beckett productions in Cyprus, and the wider Beckett Studies academic discourse in Cyprus. In addition to our speakers, we will be joined by Deputy Head of Mission, Ronan O’Sullivan, and Ambassador Hamilton of the Embassy of Ireland, Cyprus, who has kindly agreed to make the opening remarks. The panel presentations will be followed by a discussion with the audience.
