Black and white photograph of spectators watching the RAF inspection of the Nicosia airfield, a spectacle which included a visit by two RAF aircraft from Palestine and Egypt, the first airplanes in Cyprus since the end of WWI. The event was the result of much lobbying by then Governor Sir Ronald Storrs.
