Description:
Giallinas was travelling past Cyprus and produced a watercolor of Kyrenia from the sea. In the foreground stands Kyrenia castle and in the middle of the panorama is the harbour with the minaret of Cafer Pasha Mosque looming to the right. The Kyrenia mountains form the backdrop of the picture. One must note that there is artistic license in this work but the overwhelming blues capture the imagination. Tranquillity, serenity and a mystique in the atmosphere characterize the picture
