In this educational programme, children will navigate through the Museum discovering... chairs! Not just any chars, but the ones that "carry" stories from different eras and people who lived in Cyprus. From Caterina Cornaro's throne and The British Governor's chair to the simple wooden chair of a coffee shop or a luxurious armchair of a collector, each sitting becomes an excuse for storytelling!
Children, with help from the educational officer, locate the chairs in the museum's halls, observe their details, learn who used them and in which historical context, and they create connections between every day and social life of the island through centuries.
In the end, children select one of the chairs and "give voice" to it. What story will the chair tell? Who used to sit in it? What did they see, hear, and remember?
