Children open museum boxes and suitcases and discover wedding garments and related objects from the collection. Wedding dresses, among other artefacts, serve as a starting point for children to engage with the history of Cyprus and to understand its social development.
Through observation and storytelling, children become familiar with the materials, colours, and decorative elements that characterise wedding attire from different periods and religions.
The programme places emphasis on comparing wedding ceremonies of the past and the present, highlighting similarities and differences in customs, clothing, and social perceptions.
The experience concludes with a creative activity, during which children design or assemble their own wedding outfit.
