Trimintina (Τριμιντινα) is a resin extracted from the tremithus tree, traditionally used to produce Paphos chewing gum. Its production dates back to the 6th millennium BC, particularly in the region of Kissonerga. During the medieval period, it was exported to Venice, where it was highly prized. The gum was mainly produced by Turkish Cypriots, which led to a sharp decline in production following the intercommunal conflicts of 1963. Today, Paphos chewing gum can still be found in the village of Geroskipou.
