Ceramics, one of the earliest forms of human artistic expression, has played a central role in Cyprus’s rich cultural history. The abundance of high-quality clay in Cyprus fostered the development of ceramics as a significant artistic practice.
This exhibition invites twelve Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot contemporary ceramicists to present original works with their own language of expression, offering various innovative interpretations of the medium and the art of ceramics. This exhibition will not only showcase the artistic talent of contemporary ceramicists but will also serve as a cultural bridge, linking Cyprus's past with its present and fostering artistic dialogue between its communities.
