An EPNS (Electroplated Nickel Silver), FW (Frank Wod), S (tiller figural mark: Sheffield), A1 (silver superior quality) cutlery set that was used at Monte Carlo Hotel in Platres (established in 1920). The “Monte Carlo” hotel in Pani Platres was completed in 1920, featuring the largest ballroom of its era in Cyprus. It no longer exists. It was owned by the Lanitis family and run by a Polish woman and her husband.
