Cities and Memory: an expressive arts seminar

Cities and Memory

How do we remember the places we live in?

Cities change over time. Streets, buildings and neighbourhoods transform, and places that once felt familiar become different. But what happens to the memories we have created in these places?

Living between Nicosia and Barcelona, artist and art therapist Asli Bolayir explores how changes in cities affect our personal memories and our relationship with the places we call home.

Through images, words and simple creative activities, the seminar invites participants to share their experiences, remember places that are important to them and reflect on what remains when cities change.
