Full-time Librarian position
Duties and Responsibilities
- Cataloguing books, photographs, and archival material.
- Working under the supervision of the Director of Collections, focusing primarily on the library.
- Responsible for assisting and serving library visitors and researchers.
- Providing research assistance for books, archives, and photographs through computer-based systems.
- Responsible for completing all procedures related to visitors' access and use of the library.
- Collaborating with other libraries and institutions.
- Organising exhibitions and events related to the library and its collections.
- Assisting other museum colleagues when needed, especially in the organisation of events and activities.
- Full knowledge and use of the KOHA system and Library of Congress standards.
Qualifications
- University degree in Library Science or Library and Information Studies.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Initiative and interest in innovative programmes and projects.
- Pleasant and professional personality.
- Good command of Greek and excellent command of the English language.
- Professionalism and adaptability.
Working Hours
9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., five days per week
One additional working day per month, as required
